La Itzulia will cause numerous traffic cuts today on Biscayan roads

Day of traffic cuts in Bizkaia caused by Itzulia. The fourth stage of the Basque cycling race will cause traffic problems at various points on the roads that pass through Vivero, Galdakao and the Txorierri corridor, among other areas.

Nursery and Enekuri

The passage of the race will cut traffic in both directions from the Nursery to Enekuri on the BI-3741 highway, between the Artxanda-Santo Domingo and Enekuri Artxanda highways, from approximately 2:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

As reported by the Bilbao City Council, staff will be available at all accesses and at previous crossings where there is an alternative detour, garages, car parks, etc., so that no vehicle enters the race zone.

Txorierri corridor

Access to exits 25 and 27 of the N-637 in Lezama and Larrabetzu will be prevented, in both directions, between approximately 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Traffic will be diverted at the Asua-Enekuri exit of the N-637, in the Getxo direction, to clear the Asua-La Cadena roundabout, at around 2:40 p.m. The traffic cut will continue until the platoon gets off Enekuri.

Galdakao

Likewise, in Galdakao, exit 105 of the AP-8 highway, Galdakao-Hospital-Vitoria, will be closed in both directions, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m., to prevent traffic access to the N-240 in the downward direction. In this strip, access to the Galdakao Hospital will be affected, since only emergency teams and public transport will be allowed access.

There will also be cuts in the N-634 with the link with the N-240. In other words, on the section between Erletxe and El Gallo, in both directions from 1:00 p.m. The alternative passage to the N-240 will take place through the AP-8, N-634 and BI-635 from Zornotza.

Zamudio

Access to the Zamudio Technology Park from the BI-737 will be blocked. It will be intermittent between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., since it will be the place where the end of the stage takes place. first because of the passage of the race and, later, because the end of the stage was in that place.

Given these traffic cuts, the Basque Government calls on citizens to use public transport and, if you have to drive, use alternative routes, leave in advance and follow the instructions of the Ertzaintza and Local Police.
