Klopp sends strong signal ahead of FA Cup semi-final against City

The two best teams in the Premier League had then drawn two goals everywhere. “City were really good last week and we weren’t at our best,” commented the German coach. “I would like to reverse roles in the next game. We didn’t play badly against City, but I wasn’t happy with everything. There are a lot of things that can be improved.”

Both teams qualified for the Champions League semi-finals earlier this week. Klopp took the opportunity to make 7 changes to his base XI against Benfica to give some executives a rest.

“The FA Cup means a lot to us. It’s been a long time since we’ve been to the semi-finals. The players will give it their all, I’m sure of that,” concluded Klopp, who also informed that he didn’t know yet if striker Diogo Jota would be fit enough for Saturday.
