The government is awarding the Hommage Bénévolat Québec prize for the Côte-Nord to Septilien Jean Caron. He founded the thrift store Recyk & Frip and relaunched Le Virage Volunteer Action Center on solid foundations. Jean Caron has also devoted himself to other causes, particularly to minor baseball youth throughout his life devoted to others.

A member of the Baseball Québec Hall of Fame, Jean Caron has never counted his hours both at the Minor Baseball Association and elsewhere. “Thank you for changing the lives of many people,” writes Recyk and Frip.

“A man of heart who receives honors!”, reacts the CAB Le Virage, who submitted the application file. “We are happy to have contributed to this great recognition being offered to him, one of the greatest distinctions in Quebec in terms of volunteer action,” say Recyk & Frip and the CAB de Sept-Îles together.

The Tribute to Quebec awards celebrate their 25the anniversary. The exceptional commitment of Jean Caron was highlighted yesterday at the National Assembly of Quebec by the Minister of Social Solidarity Jean Boulet and the Minister responsible for the Côte-Nord Jonatan Julien.
