Canada secured its first World Cup participation since 1986, or 36 years ago, thanks to a 4-0 win against Jamaica last night. That naturally caused a huge release – also at Alphonso Davies’ home. The 21-year-old left back from Bayern is still recovering from an inflamed heart muscle after a corona infection and had to watch the game from his room. The Canadian streamed that via Twitch, which produced some great footage. “You can’t understand how long this has been,” said a frenzied Davies, even moved to tears. “You should know how many times I’ve heard, ‘You’re not going to make it.’”
