In Roudouallec, a Paralympic champion testifies at Sainte-Thérèse school – Roudouallec



On Monday, primary school students from Sainte-Thérèse school met Guillaume Gailly, international disabled sports licensee, in badminton. Globe-trotting sportsman

Guillaume Gailly trained for a long time in Grenoble. “As soon as I played again, with a prosthesis therefore, I found sensations. I had already had the opportunity to accompany wheelchair players when I was able-bodied, this experience helped me when I found myself with a disability,” he confides. During this interesting and very rich exchange with the students of Sainte-Thérèse, the athlete also mentioned his many trips related to his status as a top athlete: Australia, Brazil, Uganda, Peru, United States, Dubai, Spain , Japan, Thailand, Ireland… Sport allowed him to be quickly on his feet and to travel, another of his passions.

World Championships in Tokyo

The athlete collects titles (four times champion of France, vice-champion of Europe in 2018) and is a member of the French team. Very interesting challenges will present themselves soon. “I should participate in the men’s doubles world championships in November 2022 in Tokyo. My dearest wish would also be to participate in the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024, but there is a lot of competition”.
