Cheongsong Elementary School wins the 2022 Gyeongbuk Youth Sports Festival and the 53rd Gyeongbuk Spring Badminton Championships |
[미디어투데이=안상일 기자] Cheongsong Elementary School (Principal Nam Jeong-il) participated in the 2022 Gyeongbuk Youth Sports Festival and the 53rd Gyeongbuk Spring Badminton Championships held from April 1 to 3 at the Badminton Stadium in Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. At the 2022 Gyeongbuk Youth Athletic Championships, the individual singles runner-up Ji-min Han (6th grade), and joint third place Kim Song-hyeon (6th grade) and Kim Jung-min (5th grade) were reported. At the 53rd Gyeongbuk Spring Category Badminton Championships, the individual singles champion Ji-min Han (6th grade), tied for third place Kim Song-hyeon (6th grade), and Kim Jeong-min (5th grade) were reported.
Prior to participating in this competition, safety education was provided to students such as traffic safety education, first aid measures, and infectious disease prevention education.
Badminton coach Chae Jeong-wook said that the Cheongsong Elementary School badminton team was able to achieve good results thanks to thorough training with a full-time coach by strictly observing quarantine rules despite the COVID-19 situation.
Principal Nam Jeong-il said, “It is grateful that the Cheongsong Elementary School badminton team achieved outstanding results in this tournament, and we need to make sure that other children can use their talents and support them in various ways to achieve their dreams. I hope that there will be many children who find their talents and dreams in the interest of teachers.”
