In Open compound bow always, Maxime Guérin did not enjoy the same success as his teammate. The Dijonnais is beaten in the round of 16 by the Swiss Pascal Héritier on the score of 138 points to 135.

In women, Julie Rigault-Chupin experienced a match with twists and turns against the Italian Giulia Pesci in the 8th final. First tied, the Frenchwoman then saw herself trailed before regaining the advantage and then being overtaken by her opponent in the final end of the match.

In other categories, in Open recurve bow, Aziza Benhami won 6 sets to 4 for his first match of the day in the round of 16 against the German Flora Words. A journey which, however, stops in the quarter against the Pole Milena Olszewska with a score of 6 sets to 2.

A more complicated afternoon for Guillaume Toucoullet. After a first round without an opponent thanks to his ranking the day before, the archer licensed in Compiègne had difficulty entering his match in the round of 16 against the Briton David Phillips. Trailing 4 sets to 0, the Basque managed to come back to 4-4 with two good ends before giving in in the final set to the Englishman’s excellent 28.

This morning, Damien Letu set the tone with an unprecedented journey for him. A victory in the round of 16 133 points to 126 against the Italian Paolo Tonon and a new French record at stake. He was then beaten in the quarter-final by the Turk Bahattin Hekimoglu on the score of 126 points to 129.
