Buenos Aires Games 2022: registration is now open

The Municipality of Morón invites residents to participate in the 31st edition of the sports and cultural competitions of the Province of Buenos Aires. This year they will return to attendance in all their categories. Those interested have time to register until the end of April.

The Government of the Province launched a new call to register for the 2022 Buenos Aires Games. The disciplines are aimed at young people, older adults, people with disabilities, transplants and university and tertiary students. The community has time to sign up until the end of April through the website https://juegos.gba.gob.ar.

In this edition, new cultural disciplines are incorporated, such as Cumbia Ensemble, Rock, Theater and Bonaerense Cooks. In addition, technological innovation will be promoted with the return of the Robotics Triathlon discipline, which will be carried out together with the Directorate of Socio-educational Policies and the Directorate of Educational Technology of the General Directorate of Culture and Education of the Province.

The 2022 Buenos Aires Games will feature 39 disciplines for youth athletes, 20% more than in 2019, including 12 for university students and 9 for people with disabilities.

Sports activities include: aquathlon, chess, athletics, badminton, basketball, 3×3 basketball, beach volleyball, basket ball, 3×3 basket ball, futsal, 5-a-side soccer, 11-a-side soccer, tennis soccer, beach soccer, artistic gymnastics, handball , beach handball, hockey, swimming, paddle tennis (juveniles and seniors), skate, ball, resistance (Bonaerenses run), rugby, softball, tennis, table tennis, volleyball.

The disciplines for people with disabilities will be: athletics, 3vs3 wheelchair basketball, boccia, soccer for people with intellectual disabilities, soccer for people with down syndrome, soccer for people with cerebral palsy, goalball, swimming, parabadminton, table tennis adapted, sitting volleyball, Buenos Aires in Race (10 km for people with intellectual disabilities).

The competitions will unfold in three stages: the first will be the municipal stage and will take place between May and June, the regional stage will be between July and August. The final stage at the provincial level will take place in the city of Mar del Plata.
