Two medals for theAlba Shuttle Badminton thanks to Fornaciari Ilaria, in silver in the single under 15 and in bronze in the double under 17.
The first challenge reserved for the Master category took place in the municipal gym of Canale d’Alba. Many players participated, coming from all over the north of Italy, reaching the record of subscribers after the Italian championships. Among these many Italian champions and with important participations in European and world reviews.
The organization was organized by the Alba Shuttle company from Alba, but the Municipality of Canale actively collaborated, from the Mayor to the councilor for sport Matteo Campo, also a good badminton player. The structure was generously made available as well as many prizes.
The tournament was very spectacular, there were hard-fought matches, with endless exchanges of over 30 shots, demonstrating the great level of preparation of the participants. The Albesi of the Shuttle took home four medals thanks to Favaro Antonella, Bossati Ezio, De Pasquale Antonio and Capetta Gianluca.
In the “Montessori” gym, also in Alba, the concentration of the Italian Serie C Team Championship took place. Three teams fought each other to snatch access to Serie B for next year. The first match saw the CUS Torino Badminton prevail 4 to 1 over the “Il Punto” Association of Turin. In the second match Alba Shuttle beat the same team with the same score of 4 to 1.
In the last decisive match Alba with a capital test won the CUS Torino again for 4 to 1, thus guaranteeing the Serie B for next year. The team was made up of all players from Alba, two Juniores (Boero Jakub and Monchiero Giuseppe), three under 17 (Marengo Giulia, Protto Sofia and Capetta Pietro), and one under 15 (Fornaciari Ilaria).
It is a good test, which demonstrates the validity of the Albese team from the point of view of the growth of their young players.
The club has been recognized by the Federation as a “Club of Excellence”, precisely for its organizational characteristics, for the qualifications of the technical staff and for its programs.
