The French started today the European Badminton Championships which take place in Madrid (Spain) until Saturday. For their entry into the competition, the Blues were particularly in good shape with 10 victories out of the 12 possible.
The Fosséen Toma Junior POPOV (n°28, seeded n°5) validated his ticket for the 3rd round. He logically beat 21/16 21/11 Bernardo ATILANO (n°139, Portugal) and will meet in the next round Felix BURESTEDT (n°65 – Sweden).
In doubles Tomi and Christo POPOV will start the tournament tomorrow directly in the 2nd round. N°30 in the world and seeded 4, they will have as their opponent for their first match the locals Joan MONROY/Carlos PIRIS (n°118).
