The UVa men’s doubles pair slipped into a new national final after several years
The badminton team of the University of Valladolid went to compete in the National Master that serves as a prelude to the Spanish Championship with three players: Clara Campos, Eduardo Bayón and Enrique Fernández. An appointment held in Liencres (Santander) that produced good results for the UVa as a whole.
Bayón and Fernández managed to get into the men’s doubles final in which they lost to the clear favorites, Sánchez-Zapico, in two sets and with a score of 21-17 in both games.
In addition, Enrique Fernández in the individual modality achieved a meritorious third place after being defeated by the subsequent champion of the tournament, Tomás Toledano from Madrid.
