Rural families Les Herbiers organized its general assembly on April 26 in the premises of rue de l’Abbé Favreau. 43 people took part in this assessment meeting organized like a television program that could have been called “who wants to know our association? “.

256 families joined the association in 2021 to use the leisure reception services, toy library, evening care. 695 children were enrolled in Les Bout’choux, Les Diablotins and the Petit Bourg extracurricular centre, which represents 493 families. The team is made up of 24 employees who work daily with the children. At the same time, 8 volunteers get involved in the commission and help run the structures.

A general meeting was the opportunity to present a preview of the 2022 stays at the Mervent farm campsite. For 8/11 year olds, a 5-day “Kho Lanta” and 5-day “Jumanji” stay, with mountain biking, climbing, orienteering, canoeing. for 6/7 year olds, a 3-day stay under the theme of adventurers with climbing, archery and orienteering activities.

The evening care service has been operating at a slower pace since the health crisis, only 2 young people intervened with 3 families in 2021. Claire Chevallereau, volunteer manager of the service explained that the young people were available, she invited parents who might have needs of punctual care to participate in a meeting, a restaurant evening or other, to contact her.

The Ludothèque service brought together many volunteers in 2021, 17 volunteers got involved with the support of an employee. Aurélie Albert, head of the service, specifies that 152 members were welcomed on Wednesday and Saturday. The volunteers were able to relaunch the event part at the end of the year by participating in the Telethon through a games evening, they hope to take advantage of 2022 to be able to organize others.
