RUGBY. Three derbies in three weeks! VOLLEY. Volleyball fans will meet at the Salle Charpy (Paris XIII) this Saturday. The usual lair of Paris Volleyball players will host two matches, two finals. Those of the Coupe de France. Due to the uncertain health situation, the Federation had decided to innovate this season by offering an unprecedented competition format over a period of one week with the finals in Paris.

This year, you will again be tens of thousands to heat the asphalt of the capital. And that’s the word, because if the snow that fell in the region this Friday will have disappeared by the day of departure, the morning temperatures forecast by Météo France will be around 0 degrees.
Nearly 50,000 runners will set off from the top of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées for a staggered start from 7:55 a.m. The first to leave will be the disabled, followed by the Elite women (7:59 a.m.) and the Elite men (8:15 a.m.). The following starts will then be staggered according to the objective of the runners (10:45 for a time of 4:30 and more). The finish will be Avenue Foch with a loop in the Bois de Vincennes. For the strongest, the record to beat is 2h04′21″, set last year by the Kenyan Elisha Rotich.
The tournament not to be missed: the Seine-et-Marne Open
TENNIS. Listed among the six best international women’s tournaments (and the only ITF tournament in Europe over this period), this competition has been taking place since Tuesday at the Departmental Center of the Tennis Committee 77 in Croissy-Beaubourg. New Olympic discipline from the next Paris 2024 Games, breakdance continues to impose itself in the sports landscape. At the Cosec Pablo Neruda in Les Mureaux, between 6 and 8 p.m., the Ile-de-France/Normandy interregional breakdance battle. On the program (free and free entry): the semi-finals and finals of the 4 categories (- 16 years old and + 16 years old boys and girls).
The interregional “Battles Stages” of the French Championship take place in eight geographical areas. The winners of each category advance to the national final (June 2 in Bordeaux) to score points in the standings, which allows them to join the French breaking team and acquire the status of high-level athlete.
