Kurash, excellent qualifications for the technicians of Canepina’s Golden Dragon Gym

Satisfaction with the school of maestro Pietro Cipriani

CANEPINA – The Drago d’Oro Gym in Canepina, a reference point for learning and practicing martial arts, successfully participated in the international seminar of kurash, an ancient martial art originating from Central Asia, held in Rome over the weekend of 26 and 27 March 2022.

Satisfaction, therefore, for the school of maestro Pietro Cipriani for the qualifications achieved by his technicians, who at this training event achieved these qualifications: Kris Cipriani 5 white bands (equivalent to the 2nd degree black belt in judo), coach 1st level and 1st national level referee; Emanuele Ippoliti 5 white bands, 1st level coach and 1st national level referee; Giuseppe Chiapparo 4 white bands (equivalent to the brown belt of judo) and referee; Emanuele Minella, 4 white bands and referee. The examining commission was composed of the international master Lincoln Han and the masters Michele Mattioli and Vito Aufieri, under the supervision of the meritorious master Massimo Mattioli, technical coordinator of the Italian federation.

The kurash seminar, at the San Gabriel Gymnasium in the Eur area, was held by master Reza Nassiri, technical director of the International Kurash Institute (IKI), of a delegation from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, a country where kurash is national sport: in addition to Nassiri, Khabibulla Tadjiev (rector IKI), instructors of the Uzbek federation (UKF) Mukumov Jonibek and Olim Ravshanov, Anna Ulanova and Khurshida Iakupova, respectively head and specialist of the international relations department of the IKI. Vittorio Giorgi, honorary consul of Uzbekistan and president of the Italian Federation of Kurash and Traditional Struggles (FIKULT) also participated.

Kurash is an ancient fight that is encountering an increasing number of practitioners all over the world and that in Tuscia it is possible to learn at the Il Drago d’Oro Gym in Canepina, together with kung fu for adults and children, tai chi (Chinese soft gymnastics), pilates, tag fit, crossfit and functional training. Kurash has been recognized as a sport by the Asian Olympic Committee (OCA) and included in the program of the Asian Summer Games, Asian Beach Games and Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. The Roman appointment was aimed at training new technicians, coming from various Italian regions, and improving the preparation of the athletes of the National team who will be involved in the world championships of kurash at the end of the year.
