All eyes are on ex-Unioner Max Kruse (33)! On Saturday (3.30 p.m.) the game in Wolfsburg will be the first reunion after his lightning move to VfL at the end of January.

Coach Urs Fischer (56) and Kruse are no longer green, although Kruse was Fischer’s most important player for 18 months.

Fischer is obviously angry about Kruse’s statements.
The Union coach vented about Kruse in the Süddeutsche Zeitung: “I am of the opinion: If you go a new way, go it. But without telling anything. go! You have made up your mind. You can too! But say no more.”
And the coach noted about Kruse’s special role at Union: “There is a limit. (…) There, where I see them. And I have to say: the leash is really long.”
That means: Union bosses were upset more than once when Kruse made the max again.

On Saturday, Fischer can take revenge on Kruse’s statements. The coach knows the striker well: “For me, Max is a bit of a sneak who is always moving somewhere in the rooms and perceives them like no other. It is important to keep that in mind. But in the end it’s all about the whole thing.”
And above all three points. If Union gets them, the 40 counters are full. Relegation is therefore considered to have been achieved with certainty.
