Two multiple courts for sports and school coexistence in the Normal Superior of Manizales came into service

Manizales, March 31, 2022. The municipal administration gave the service two modern multiple courts in the Normal Superior de Manizales, scenarios that students will enjoy in their free time.

In the opening act he was accompanied by the rector of the educational center, Francisco Vallejo García, and 60 students from different grades, who highlighted the usefulness of these scenarios in which they can practice basketball, mini-soccer and volleyball.

“Today we delivered two multiple courts in which we invested $530 million. We are putting our hearts into all the works of our Pact for Economic Reactivation, I thank the students for believing in a Greater Manizales”, said Marín Correa of ​​these spaces for healthy coexistence and recreation that generated 24 jobs during their building.

Both works, carried out between August and December of last year, were recognized by Vallejo García: ”We are going to work with talented schools, after the school day with basketball, mini-soccer, volleyball and dance practice. This is how we promote innovation and creativity among our students”.

The delivery was made official with a basket of honor made together with members of the Manizales Basketball Club team. Next, the mayor of Manizales distinguished students and a teacher from the institution for excelling in disciplines such as soccer, weightlifting, archery and athletics.

One of the awards went to Karen Sarai Ordóñez, who has 12 medals in local and national archery competitions. “The courts will greatly benefit us for the sports development of those outstanding students. In addition to having an academic purpose, they will also contribute to the development of talented students, ”said Ordóñez.

For her part, the exalted educator was Claudia Milena Pantoja, a training sports teacher who ranked first in the Pereira Half Marathon. After the activity, the mayor met with the rector Vallejo to evaluate concerns and academic requests from the Normal.
