Tarik Tissoudali kicks Morocco past a hopeless Congo, delirium for Cameroon | World Cup 2022

Tarik Tissoudali had already contributed to the 1-1 draw in Congo last week and the AA Gent star was again on the alert.

In the 7th minute of extra time in the first half, he put the 2-0 on the board. Morocco had sold Congo a mental uppercut there and ran out to 4-0 halfway through the second half.

Théo Bongonda came in for the visitors, who still managed to get on the scoreboard. There was nothing more in it and so it remains a distant dream.

In the other African jump-off matches Tunisia had enough of a 0-0 draw against Mali (back: 0-1), in Algeria-Cameroon they went all the way.

Choupo-Moting had erased the final score of the first leg (0-1 for Algeria) and penalties were only averted at the last minute.

Ahmed Touba, a few years ago still on the payroll of Club Brugge and even briefly a Belgian youth international, forced the 1-1 after 118 minutes.

And it wasn’t over yet. Algeria fell from its cloud: in the 124th minute Toko Ekambi Cameroon blasted into a delirium.

The 5 African World Cup participants are thus Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Cameroon.
