Seraing clearly deserved better: “Zulte did not play”

The Steelworkers ran into a Zulte team that let play and waited for the right moment to strike.

“Seraing undoubtedly deserved better,” said Benjamin Deceuninck on the set of The gallery on Monday, alluding in particular to the huge opportunity missed by dabila in the first half at Zulte. “When it’s not spinning… How does this ball not end up going in?” Asked the presenter of the show. RTBF.

“It’s crazy!”, followed astonished Stéphane Streker.

“And it’s always the same thing, on the first action of Zulte-Waregem, it’s goal on the other side. Seraing is not less strong than Zulte-Waregem at the moment?”, Deceuninck lamented in addressing Marc Delire.

“No, definitely not. But yesterday Zulte didn’t actually play. They waited for the right moment, with a foxes, and that’s it. Seraing is a toy. (…) All the Zulte players must have been bothered, but serious! They didn’t play at all, they let Seraing come, and they waited for the moment. The second half, it was the same thing, it was played practically on one half of the field. It’s a shame for Seraing, because frankly they didn’t deserve that.”

But at the time of making the predictions, the observation is hard and without appeal: according to all the chroniclers of the show, Seraing will end up as a roadblocker…
