The chairman of the sports court on Friday, Hubert Jung from the Middle Rhine Football Association, explained the verdict: “The sports court has reached the following verdict. The game is scored 2-0 for Prussia Münster. Rot-Weiss Essen will bear the costs of the procedure Chamber had no reason to deviate from the fact that the referee made the right decision in this case. We had no reason to believe that the demolition came at the urging of Preussen Munster. The firecracker caused very serious injuries. The referee had no reasons restart play. That’s why we scored that way. It might be annoying for Essen, but there’s nothing you can do about it. The fact that this is a lone wolf doesn’t matter.”

Rot-Weiss Essen can appeal the verdict and go to the court of the West German Football Association (WDFV). A final judgment will then be made at this point at the latest.
