PASSIONS A sports lover, he loves to play badminton and go running. He likes to travel, discover new places and, of course, make routes through the Palentina Mountain. She is a fan of Palencia Basketball and enjoys her games every week.

TRAJECTORY After studying at the Jorge Manrique Institute, he studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Valladolid. He currently works in a quality company at the Renault Palencia facilities.

1. Dock and Canal de Castilla. «It is my favorite place and that of many other people from Palencia to run, walk or ride a bicycle along its shores. Its landscape seemed like something out of a story during the Filomena storm of 2021 and many of us took the opportunity to take thousands of photographs that remained to be remembered. I think of the effort involved in the construction of the Canal in the 18th century and I imagine sailing the boats loaded with merchandise. One of the buildings where the grain was stored, and which is located next to the dock, has been converted into the Water Museum».

2.Tejeda de Tosande. “It is one of the most spectacular forests in the north of the province. It was the first route I did after the confinement ended, so it has a special meaning for me. It is reached through a path where you can see beeches, oaks and other different types of trees. The yew trees that make it up are centuries-old specimens that have special properties that make them the protagonists of stories and legends. The effort of the climb is rewarded with the arrival at a viewpoint from which wonderful views of the Palentina Mountain can be appreciated.

3.Sports Pavilion. «I am excited to put on the purple shirt and scarf and go to the pavilion every week to cheer on Palencia Baloncesto. My Palencia flag hangs on one of the sides of the pavilion and has accompanied the team on some of its trips, in which they walk the name of the city throughout Spain».

4. Autilla viewpoint. «What palentino has not been to enjoy a sunset in this viewpoint? I consider it a privilege to be able to contemplate a sunset over the Land of Campos with the Palentina Mountain as a backdrop. Its reddish winter skies present us with a postcard image. It is one of the essential visits we make when friends come from other places. They are amazed at these views!”

5. Senda de los Rojos and Mirador de Piedrasluengas. «This route that starts from the Mirador de Piedrasluengas is not one of the best known in the Montaña Palentina, but it is no less spectacular for that. The path crosses several forests and meadows until reaching the Brez rock, from where we can enjoy incredible views. I was lucky enough to celebrate my last birthday sharing this route with my family».

6.Christ of the Knoll. «When Victorio Macho built this monument in 1930, he probably did not imagine that it would become the emblem of our city and that it would be known throughout the world. In the times when I have lived outside of Palencia, seeing his silhouette again when I returned made me feel at home at last».

7.Ribas de Campos. «It is the town of my mother and of which I have good memories of my childhood: fishing in the river, flying the kite in the threshing floors, stepping on the grapes in the wine press… Very close is the triple lock of Calahorra, which is one of the most impressive and photographed of the Canal de Castilla».

8. Monastery of Santa Cruz de la Zarza. «I am glad to see that a monument in a state of abandonment has been recovered thanks to the efforts of the Association of Friends of the Monastery and the institutions. It is close to Ribas de Campos and has one of the most beautiful chapter houses in Castile. Its capitals of fantastic animals and warriors are worth a visit».

9.San Martin de Fromista. «In the province we find one of the largest concentrations of Romanesque churches in all of Europe. Among them, I have chosen this one for its beauty and for being located on the Camino de Santiago, which throughout history millions of pilgrims have traveled through our province.

10.IES Jorge Manrique. «It is the oldest institute in the city, in which I have studied following in the footsteps of my sister. I have fond memories of my time with him, especially of the trips and exchanges carried out, such as the one that allowed me to discover New York. I met many of my friends there.”
