One shot from the leader: Joaquín Niemann had a great start in The Players

The National golfer Joaquín Niemann had a great first day in the prestigious tournament The Players which is disputed in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

On a day marked by heavy rain, which delayed the competition by more than four hours,

Niemann signed a card of 67 strokes, five under par, at the end of the first round of the important PGA event.

With this result, the young Chilean golfer was in third place, just one stroke behind the leader, Tommy Fleetwood.

Guillermo “Mito” Pereira, he was with -2 with eight holes to go, but he committed two consecutive bogeys which left him in 68th place with 72 hits (by).
