NFL: Antony Auclair back with the Houston Texans

Quebec tight end Antony Auclair has signed a new deal with the Houston Texans, his agent Sasha Ghavami announced on Twitter on Monday.

The length of the contract was not disclosed.

Auclair joined the Texans last year as a free agent after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then defending Super Bowl champions.

Cut off after training camp last year, the Notre-Dame-des-Pins native was finally in uniform for 16 of the Texans’ 17 games in his fifth season in the NFL. Best known for his blocking skills, he caught 5 passes for 47 yards and a first career touchdown, on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Davis Mills.
