Football: the attacked district referee lodged a complaint

Blows, insults, in short images that we would never want to see again. And once again, it is a referee who is the victim. The short video that has been circulating since Monday on social networks is edifying.

We see the referee of the meeting of D2 of District 77, disputed on one of the grounds of the Paul-Fisher stadium between Melun FC (c) and Entente Bagneaux-Nemours, returning under good escort to the locker room, under the protection of leaders and players of both teams. An individual punches him as he arrives at the locker room door.

It all started, according to France Bleu Paris, from the expulsion in the first period of a player from FC Melun. The latter would have first insulted and then threatened the man in black before calling acquaintances by telephone to avenge him. The referee signed a very severe report which will be studied by the Disciplinary Committee of District 77, from this Thursday, March 31. According to our information, he was found to have an ITT at the medico-judicial unit of the Jossigny hospital, then filed a complaint around 7:30 p.m. at the Noisiel police station.

In a press release, Melun FC reacted on its website: “Inadmissible acts took place at the Paul Fischer stadium this Sunday, March 27. Faced with this gratuitous violence, President Cédric Guilloso and his Management Committee give their full support to the referee attacked during the Senior D2 match between FC Melun and Entente Bagneux Nemours Saint Pierre. Faced with this unacceptable act, the club strongly condemns such actions. We would like to point out that the aggressors are neither near nor far attached to our club and its values. Now, if other information were to very clearly identify members of our club, we will take exemplary sanctions even before the end of the current investigation. We remind everyone, leaders, educators, players, parents, that respect for referees, without whom the game could not exist, is vital for the very existence of our sport. We do not condone such acts and will support the authorities as well as possible to fight against this scourge which has nothing to do on sports grounds. »
