Are Bayern going weak? Arsenal are said to be willing to pay €70m for Gnabry!

Serge Gnabry’s contract extension at FC Bayern is becoming more and more of a stalemate. According to current reports, the chances are now only 50:50 that the 26-year-old will sign a new contract with the record champions. If there is no agreement between Bayern and the DFB international, a farewell in the summer is approaching. With Arsenal FC, another club is now positioning itself.

In the past few weeks, reports have been circulating that Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are watching the current developments surrounding Serge Gnabry very closely. The two top Spanish clubs are therefore considering a commitment should the extension on the Isar burst.

As reported by Football London, Arsenal also deals with Gnabry. Accordingly, the Gunners are ready to dig deep into their pockets for the 26-year-old offensive player.

Is Gnabry making a comeback at Arsenal?

As a 15-year-old teenager, Gnabry moved from the youth division of VfB Stuttgart to Arsenal. In London he was under contract for around five years and made the leap to the professionals. However, the big breakthrough did not materialize. In 2016, the German international returned to Germany, to Werder Bremen. A year later he switched to FC Bayern.

According to “Football London”, Arsenal are considering a return campaign should the 26-year-old be available on the transfer market next summer. According to reports, the Londoners are ready to spend almost 70 million euros for the German national player, which would correspond to his current market value.

One thing is clear: As of today, a Gnabry sale is not a serious issue, as Munich still has the firm will to extend the contract with the winger. However, if no agreement is reached, it will inevitably have to be dealt with, otherwise there is a risk of a free transfer in 2023. According to rumors, the Bayern bosses are already discussing possible alternatives should Gnabry still leave the record champions.
