What is the flag billet?

It is a form of American football and is played without plates. In Mexico it is also known as “tochito” and in the United States they also call it “flag football”.

Unlike American football, in this discipline another goal is sought in their “tapped“. Instead of throwing a rival player to the ground (down), the defending team must remove one of the two pennants or handkerchiefs that hang on the sides of the waist.

The history of this type of game dates back to the 1940s. It became popular on US military bases, as a result of soldiers not being able to risk getting injured playing football.
