Pepe Portolés, Real Madrid’s physical trainer between 1992 and 1994, dies at 69

Real Madrid announced this Friday the death of Pepe Portolés, physical trainer of its first men’s soccer team between 1992 and 1994, a period during which the merengue club won a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup.

Through a note on their website, the president of the Madrid entity and its Board of Directors have “deeply” regretted the death of Portolés. “Real Madrid wants to express its condolences and affection to his family, his teammates, his clubs and all his loved ones,” the press text concluded.
