The end! Dinamo Riga has announced its departure from the KHL

“At a time of military and humanitarian crisis, we do not see the possibility of cooperating with the Continental Hockey League,” Chief Juris Savickis said on the club’s website about the management’s decision to withdraw from an international competition run by Russia.

The club thus changed its previous position, a few days ago the chairman of the board Juris Savickis claimed that Dinamo was not considering leaving the competition, with the proviso that the season was just over for him.

Dinamo Riga joined the KHL in 2008. The club has played 45 matches this season and scored 37 points. At the time when the basic part of the competition was prematurely completed, he was last 12th in the Western Conference table.
