NBA: Boston Celtics send Dennis Schröder to the NBA basement! – US sports

Transfer quake in the NBA!

As “The Athletic” reports, the two Germans Dennis Schröder (28) from the Boston Celtics and Daniel Theis (29) from the Houston Rockets swap teams.

Point guard Schröder is traded to 15th and bottom of the table in the Western Conference, while center Theis goes to Boston for seventh in the table in the Eastern Conference. And that on the last day of the trade deadline on Thursday!

According to basketball insiders and “The Athletic” journalist Shams Charania, Schröder should be released there immediately in order to be able to switch to another club as a “free agent” (player without a contract).

Among other things, Schröder’s ex-club LA Lakers is said to be interested in a return, but they rejected him in the offseason in the summer.

Ground: Before moving to the Boston Celtics, the German turned down an $84m extension. That really annoyed the bosses.

Superstar Harden is also changing

As “ESPN” reports, basketball superstar James Harden (32) and his teammate Paul Millsap (37) are also moving from the Brooklyn Nets to the Philadelphia 76ers.

In return, the 76ers are expected to trade Ben Simmons (25), Seth Curry (31), Andre Drummond (28) and two first-round draft picks.

The change from James Harden in particular is a hammer in the NBA!

Just last year, the superstar switched from the Houston Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets and had an excellent season with an average of 24.9 points and 10.9 assists. His contract expired in the summer.

Harden, 2012 Olympic champion with the USA, recently played with superstar Kevin Durant (33) and Kyrie Irving (29) in the Nets. Durant extended his contract for four years at the beginning of August 2021, he is said to earn up to the equivalent of 194.2 million euros.

Probably the reason why Harden had to change now! Because: In the NBA there is a salary cap. Apparently, the superstar should have been too expensive for the Brooklyn Nets.

James Harden was named NBA MVP in 2018 and has set numerous basketball records. Among other things, Harden was the first player with 60 points to achieve the highest value in a triple double (double-digit number of points, double-digit number of assists, double-digit number of rebounds in a game).

The superstar was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009 before moving to Houston for nine years in 2012, where he became a legend.
