Mistakes cost Centellas dearly

Despite having only played last Friday against Chivas, the double date in the Liga MX Femenil forced the Centellas de Necaxa to have another commitment this Monday afternoon, putting a lot of fatigue in the legs of the players. The meeting was played at the Coapa facilities due to the rest given to Azteca by having activity with the Mexican team.
Jesús Palacios sent Guadalupe Olvera, Andrea Martínez, Lucía Muñoz, Karen de León, Fanny Grano, Yaneisy Rodríguez, Reyna Velázquez, Saira López, Samantha Calvillo, Luciana García and Brenda de León to the field as starters. From the initial whistle the Centellas went back defending their goal trying to avoid an early goal as happened against Chivas, this caused America to have full initiative and control of the ball.
Barely four minutes into the action, Katty Martínez warned with an individual play that passed near Olvera’s goal and two minutes later it was Mayra Pelayo who, with a long shot, forced the Necaxa goalkeeper to stretch to avoid the goal. América insisted throughout the first period with several arrivals, but between the red-and-white defense and the poor definition of the capital women, the match remained goalless.
At minute 51 was when America’s first goal came. Katty Martínez received a cross and coldly took off a defense with a little hat and then calmly defined what was a great goal. Minutes later, a center by Sarah Luebbert that seemed to have nothing was badly controlled by Guadalupe Olvera who committed a bully sending the ball into his own goal. The error weighed heavily on Centellas who lowered his arms after that mistake, at 68′ another error came from the Necaxa goalkeeper when Daniela Espinosa shot from long distance and Olvera did not know how to attack the ball that ended up in the nets after entering between his legs.
In the end, América slowed down the game with the advantage of three goals and the match ended with a 3-0 loss for the second consecutive game for Centellas, who continues with four points in the lower part of the classification and will have to recover soon since in a week another hard test will come when the Victoria al Atlas is received.
