Gianluigi Buffon extends contract at Parma Calcio

The legendary Gianluigi Buffon still hasn’t had enough of professional football. The goalkeeper will play for second division club Parma Calcio until 2024.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has extended his contract with Italian second division club Parma Calcio until 2024. This was confirmed by Parma owner Kyle Krause on Monday.

“I have great news: Gigi has extended his contract until 2024,” said Krause. Buffon would be 46 at the end of the contract.

Gianluigi Buffon started his career in Parma

The 44-year-old moved from Juventus to Parma on a free transfer last summer, where his career once began.

Buffon is a first-choice goalkeeper at Parma and has played 23 games in the current Serie B season so far. The 176-time Italy international with Parma is currently 13th in the table.
