Stefan Holz, Managing Director of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), is also calling for more spectators in the halls because of the clubs’ “difficult financial situation”. “At this point it must be allowed to point out to politicians that our games with spectators were not a driver of the pandemic,” Holz was quoted as saying in a league statement.
