FC Bayern Munich: Robert Lewandowski is waiting for a contract offer – football

The Bavarians and their three musketeers – when will they finally extend?

The working papers for Manuel Neuer (35), Thomas Müller (32) and Robert Lewandowski (33) will expire in the summer of 2023. All three can imagine staying. While the club management Keeper Neuer and Ur-Bayer Müller have already sent a positive signal towards the contract extension, goal machine Lewandowski is still waiting for a Bayern sign.

The striker responded to the statement by Sky moderator Patrick Wasserziehr (55) that the club would like to extend him: “I’m hearing that for the first time!” Wow…

In the new “Stammplatz-Follow”, the daily football podcast from BILD, Bayern reporter Tobias Altschäffl explains: “He hasn’t received a signal from the club so far. There was no internal conversation, no appointment. From my point of view this is incomprehensible. You should give him a signal. You should also show what is perhaps the most important striker how important he is for the club.”

The big question: Why hasn’t that happened yet and does the transfer fight for BVB jewel Erling Haaland (21) even play a role? Altschäffl in conversation with “Stammplatz” host André Albers: “Bayern, of course, keep the Haaland option open in a certain sense. Even if it seems difficult to do in Corona times.”

Altschäffl also says: “Bayern are better off with Lewandowski.” Why he sees it that way – just hear “Stammplatz”!
