Andrea Dovizioso also felt disappointed with his performance in the 2022 Sepang MotoGP pre-season test.

“We have made progress, but I cannot be satisfied with his position,” said Dovizioso, quoted by SportFeat from Motorsport.

“We were not fast enough and I haven’t been able to control everything, I don’t like that. The way I ride the bike is not good enough.”

Andrea Dovizioso also explained that the racing position had quite an impact on the speed of the YZR-M1 motorbike.

“Not 100 percent like that, but a little, yes,” said Dovizioso.

“I can definitely go faster because I didn’t use the potential of the soft tires in the morning session.

“But I don’t feel that I handled the tires well. The two days of testing at Sepang were very difficult,” he added.

The 35-year-old racer then revealed a problem with the Yamaha motorbike that made it fail to go fast.

“The base from Yamaha is very good, but there are areas that can quickly cause problems. The motorbike requires a special riding style,” said Dovi.

“If you can’t, you will quickly end up behind. That’s why I still need time to adapt.”

Furthermore, Dovizioso refuses to sink with the results of the 2022 Sepang MotoGP pre-season test and is ready to welcome the next test in Mandalika, Indonesia.

“Sepang is the best circuit for testing spare parts, but the conditions are already over the limit. The grip is different every time we try,” he said.

“The front tire is not enough to compare all the parts because it will need a new one every time you go down on the track.

“But during the two days of testing we only had five front tires. Now, I’m looking forward to riding the bike on a different track,” concluded Dovi.
