Adrien Saddier races ahead at Dimension Data Pro-Am in South Africa

Adrien Saddier was eager to return to competition. After several busy months off the fairways – he has just become a father for the first time – the Frenchman is playing flawless golf for the first round of the Challenge Tour this year.

In South Africa, Saddier has so far conceded only one bogey (at 6 this Friday) after 36 holes at the Dimension Data Pro-Am. Following an inaugural 63 on Thursday on the Outeniqua course, he continued this Friday with a 66 (-7) on the route of The Links (the event takes place on three different courses of the Fancourt Golf Estate).

His total of -16 allows Adrien Saddier to have a cushion of three shots on his closest pursuer, the German Alexander Knappe.

Twelve other Blues are involved in this first event of the season in the 2nd European division. David Ravetto is 16th at -8, Jeong Weon Ko is 73rd at -2, Romain Wattel, Robin Sciot-Siegrist and Jérôme Lando-Casanova 86th at -1. Ugo Coussaud is in par (105th) as is Gary Stal. Clément Sordet and Félix Mory are 121st at +1 total. Joël Stalter (+2, 128th), Damien Perrier (136th, +3) and Matthieu Fenasse (144th, +4) bring up the rear. The cut will fall on the evening of the third round.
