From the very preparation for the Tokyo Games, the Cuban judokas had many affectations and after the Japanese event they have practically not been able to train. “We have had several setbacks with COVID-19, illnesses, the vacation period, that is why we are a little behind in preparation. The first thing is to resume training and from there we see what events we can attend ”.

The Head of the Women’s Judo Coaches Collective stated that they will not go out to compete without first preparing well. “The first thing is that our main athletes carry out some preparation base and then we will try to join the largest number of events to look for the points in the Olympic classification.”
