Senegal: Mané’s rant!

Recovered after the draw against Guinea (0-0) in the African Cup of Nations, Senegal striker Sadio Mané (29 years old, 80 caps and 26 goals) gave a rant. The Liverpool player complained about the schedule imposed on his team, and the quality of the lawn on Friday.

“It’s not at all obvious and I think it’s unfortunate, you have to admit it. Playing twice in a row at 1 p.m., when there are teams that haven’t even played at that time … I see that they are shifting their matches. It’s not even fair, regretted Mané. There is also the context, it is not at all obvious. We are not at all happy. And what is also deplorable is that the pitch was dry, it was not even watered. These are not excuses but above all things to improve.”

Co-leaders of group B with Guinea, the Lions of Teranga will play their qualification against Malawi on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
