Persib achieved victory with difficulty in the first match in the second round of Liga 1 2021/2022. Persita was persistent enough to provide resistance until Maung Bandung was made to bother with a narrow 1-0 advantage. Mohammed Rashid admitted that Persib did not appear as usual.
“I think we did what we could, it wasn’t our best game but at least we could have won. But that’s normal, this is our first match (after the first round) and this is my first time playing in this city, there is a difference in the weather and the pitch is quite tough,” said Rashid at a press conference after the match.
According to him, the team’s attack flow is easily broken and possession of the ball is also not dominant. Opportunities to break into the net from open opportunities in the penalty box were difficult to present. “Personally, we didn’t show our best game and not like Persib usually shows. But in the end we got the three points and that’s the most important thing,” explained the Palestinian midfielder.
