Opened barrier-free deck roads in 3 parks in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul

Geumcheon-gu, Seoul announced on the 23rd that it has opened barrier-free deck roads in three locations: Hoam Neulsol-gil, Geumcheon Sports Park, and Samgak Park.

The barrier-free deck road is a forest road with a width of 2m or more and a slope of less than 8% so that the handicapped and the elderly can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest, recreation, and the benefits of the forest. On Hoamneulsol-gil, a barrier-free deck road was installed by extending the 1.2km section constructed in 2019 by 0.58km. In addition, a 0.41km-long barrier-free deck road was built in Samgak Park, which has a slope and a total 1.12km section from Geumcheon Sports Park Geumcheon Basin to Doksan Badminton Court.

All sections are equipped with night lighting, so it can be used safely even at night. This year, the district plans to install a sky bridge (tentative name) in the section that crosses Gamrocheon Park from the Geumcheon Basin Stadium and extend the barrier-free forest road by 0.43 km.
