Within the framework of the first day of international signings of 2022 in the MLB, the New York Mets gave an important sign of their ambition by finalizing the signing of 21 prospects among them, the outfielder Juan Simón who is listed as number 16 according to Baseball America magazine.
Juan Simón, who is considered a five-tool player, he signed for a $1.9 million bonus, making it the most expensive signing the Mets made to this day.

After the signings were announced, the vice president of amateur and international scouting, Tommy Tanous, dedicated a few words to the new players in the organization. “It’s an exciting day for the New York Mets congratulate and welcome these talented youngsters to our organization,” he said.
