Montrezl Harrell and KCP came to blows at halftime …

Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope know each other well. The two Washington Wizards were already teammates with the Lakers last season. Even before playing together, Harrell and KCP crossed paths very frequently as the former wore the Clippers jersey. That did not prevent them from going into a spin last night, at half-time in the game between the Wizards and the Thunder.

According to Shams Charania, a heated argument took place between them at the end of the second quarter. As the two teams walked back to the locker room, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope began to exchange a few courtesies. Harrell would have criticized KCP for not giving him the ball on the last possession when he considered himself in a good position.

It is not known what they said to each other, but Charania claims that both partners attempted to send warrants and would have succeeded if their teammates had not intervened after the first blows did not reach their target. The spirits then calmed down.

Led by three points at the break, the Wizards came back in better shape to finally win on the wire, in particular thanks to a 3-point basket 30 seconds from the end signed … Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Harrell and KCP arrived in Washington together with their partner Kyle Kuzma from the Lakers, in the trade that took Russell Westbrook to Los Angeles last offseason. Washington is currently 9th in the Eastern Conference, two wins from the top 6, synonymous with direct qualification for the playoffs without having to go through the play-in tournament.
