The region of Boumerdes, in the governorate of Mahdia, was the scene of an atrocious murder yesterday Friday January 21, reports a private radio this Saturday. A young man attacked his father with a baseball bat, said Farid Ben Jha, deputy public prosecutor and spokesperson for the courts of Monastir and Mahdia.
The perpetrator also attacked his mother who had tried to avoid the tragedy. She escaped the worst, with a broken arm. After murdering his dad, the young man disappeared, but was quickly caught by police nets on the night of Friday to Saturday in Sfax.
The investigating judge, on behalf of the public prosecutor, initiated an investigation on the charge of intentional homicide.
The assistant public prosecutor indicated that the young man often had clashes with his family, but the main reason for his fatal gesture has not yet been elucidated…
