HALOYOUTH – Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is an Indonesian badminton player who is currently ranked 1st in the men’s doubles world by the Badminton World Federation.

Kevin Sanjaya’s struggle can be said to be extraordinary, because when he was young he participated in a general audition scholarship held by PB Djarum, but failed because of his small physique.

However, he refused to give up, and started training every day instead of the 4 days a week routine. With these extra hours, he finally passed the audition at PB Djarum in 2007.

After joining PB Djarum, Sukamuljo suffered defeat after defeat. Initially Sukamuljo played in the men’s singles number. However, he later switched to doubles, experimenting with men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Initially, he and his parents refused to switch to doubles specialization, but men’s doubles coach Ade Lukas believes that this is where Kevin Sanjaya’s skills and abilities will be put to good use. After a year of training in doubles, he is showing progress and has high hopes for progress.

Now that they have entered the PBSI National Training Center, Kevin is paired with Marcus Gideon and it turns out that they are the greatest men’s doubles in the world today.

Kevin Sanjaya successfully won the men’s doubles title at the 2017 and 2018 All England Opens, the 2017 World Superseries Final and at the 2018 Asian Games.
