Jakarta Electricity PLN Swallows Second Defeat

The PLN Women’s Jakarta Electricity team lost their second defeat at PLN Mobile Proliga 2022. This time they lost to Jakarta Pertamina Fastron 1-3.

Competing at the Candradimuka Crater Gymnasium, Police General Kunarto Volleyball Padepo, Sentul, Bogor, Sunday (16/1/2022), Risco Herlambang’s squad failed to maintain their advantage after keeping pace with their opponents in the second set.

The women’s team of Jakarta Electric PLN (JEP) had to give up on Jakarta Pertamina Fastron with a score of 1-3 (26-28, 25-16, 21-25, 24-26) in the continuation of the Proliga 2022 series, the second round of the last day.

This match should have run in five sets, if the Jakarta Electric PLN (JEP) team was able to get one point, at 24-19 for JEP in the fourth set. However, the Jakarta Pertamina Fastron team was able to catch up and score a 26-24 lead. And make the match ended 3-1.

“I see that my team still has many young players. They still need to be reminded not to make mistakes,” said Risco in a PBVSI release.

Even so, he still appreciates the athlete’s game. “In the future, I am optimistic that this team can make it difficult for other contestants with material like this,” said Risco.

This defeat is the second for Jakarta Electric PLN. Previously, Nurlaili Kusuma Diningrat et al had to be satisfied with a score of 2-3 from Jakarta Mandiri Popsivo Polwan.

Meanwhile, the coach of Jakarta Pertamina Fastron, Octavian, was happy because the goddess of fortune was on his side in this match. “We were behind and were able to restore the position,” said Octavian.

He admitted, his team had a little difficulty implementing strategies in the field. “That’s why some opportunities did not go well,” he explained.
