Holguineros to important sporting events at the beginning of the year

Holguín intends to participate in important national events in the first two months of 2022, according to the annual calendar announced by the provincial sports administration in eastern Cuban territory.

The LXI National Baseball Series, with official opening on the 23rd and the Women’s National Chess Championship, highlight the presence of Holguin in January.

On the ball, Holguín begins at home against Santiago de Cuba, on the 25th, while chess for ladies will have a seat in the City of Parks from 29th of this month to February 13th.

In baseball, it is also planned to start walking in the qualifying zones, in the 15-16 and 17-18 age categories.
In February, the chess for women and the National Baseball Series continue and includes the men’s chess in Villa Clara from the 22nd, the first phase of the women’s and men’s beach volleyball circuit in Matanzas, from the 14th and the Elite Tournament Badminton, in both sexes, from 16 to 20 in Cienfuegos.

Likewise, in the second month of the year there will be representations of this province in the La Farola Prize cycling competitions (from 16 to 20) and Vuelta a Cuba by zone (22 to 27) and the Elite Karate Championship, with stage in Santiago de Cuba (24 to 28).

The program includes the follow-up of youth league qualifying baseball (17-18) and soccer (male and female sub18); school ball (15-16) and soccer (sub-15 in both sexes), while the baseball pioneer fair will begin, 11-12 in Granma.

In these two months there will be other competitions by invitation and for the disabled.
