FC Bayern Munich: Coman extends until 2027! – Bundesliga

Now it’s official: Kingsley Coman (25) stays with FC Bayern!

As the club confirmed on Wednesday, the winger is extending its contract, which will expire in 2023, by four more years until 2027. This is a new record, Coman currently has the longest contract with the German record champions.

Coman: “I’m very happy because FC Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world and I know that we still have a lot of opportunities and big goals here. I’ve been with the club since 2015 – it feels like a big family. Everything is perfect here. My best years as a footballer are still ahead of me, and I’m glad I’ll be spending them at FC Bayern. My biggest goal is to win the Champions League again – and this time, please, together with our fans. “

Negotiations with the 2020 Champions League final scorer had been difficult for months. He demanded a significant increase in his salary, allegedly from around 12 million euros gross to 12 million euros net – i.e. over 20 million euros gross – per year. As reported by L’Équipe, both sides ultimately agreed on 17 million euros.

The French international came to Munich from Juventus Turin in 2015. After a two-year loan, he was firmly committed. Since then he has scored 46 goals and 52 assists in 217 competitive games for Bayern.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidžić (45) will tie another top star to the German record champions after Joshua Kimmich (26 / until 2025) and Leon Goretzka (26 / until 2026): “Kingsley came to FC Bayern in 2015 as one of the greatest European offensive talents . He has developed into a world-class player with us over the past six and a half years. With his goal in the 2020 Champions League final, he has already made history and now has the great opportunity to shape an era. With his quality as a preparer and his goal threat, King is of the utmost importance for the future of our team. Our goal is for FC Bayern to remain competitive among the European leaders in the years to come. With the contract extensions from Kingsley, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, we have laid a strong foundation for this. “
