Exequiel Talevi al Parma Weather | Baseball mania

Parma baseball announces that it has reached an agreement with the Argentine player Exequiel Agustin “el Pichu” Talevi for his membership for the next competitive season.

Talevi was born in Salta (Argentina) on 23 October 1994, he mainly plays at second base, beats and throws right. He is also in possession of an Italian passport for which he will play with the status of “non-AFI Italian athlete”.

In the last two seasons he has defended the colors of Verona. He made his debut in the 2019 season with an excellent batting average of .376 and in the last Serie A championship he proved to be among the best hitters, finishing the tournament with 37 valid in 74 rounds (average .500). During the 2021 season he scored 8 doubles, 2 triples and a home run, hit 21 points at home and received 33 bases per ball for just 9 strikeouts. Talevi also proved to be an excellent runner stealing 10 bases in 12 attempts. His defensive qualities are also good, as evidenced by the only two mistakes he made that allowed him to close the tournament with a defensive average of .982.

After graduating from the Catholic University of Salta, in 2013 he embarked on an international activity that led him to make his debut with the Argentine colors in the South American Championships.

In 2017 he was awarded as the best player of the Argentine league with a batting average of .458 and in 2019 he took part in the Pan American Games.

In the plans of Parma baseball “Pichu” Talevi will replace Ricardo Paolini with whom the European champion club was unable to find an economic agreement. The best wishes of Parma baseball for the continuation of their career go to the second Italian-Venezuelan base.
