Deportes Tolima: Alexander Domínguez spoke about his fight with Falcao in the Qualifiers | sports

Alexander Domínguez is one of the new players of Deportes Tolima, who will seek to lift the Colombian League title that he won in the 2021-I tournament. In dialogue with El VBar de Caracol Radio, he recalled a match for which he was widely mentioned in Colombia.

In the duel between Colombia and Ecuador for the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in October 2021, Radamel Falcao celebrated a goal like never before, the same one that Alexander Domínguez lamented.

In his celebration, the Tiger did not count on the goal being subsequently invalidated, but what remained in the images was a discussion between the striker and the Ecuadorian goalkeeper.

“I admire Falcao a lot as a person, I admire him all my life. That the goal shouted at me I didn’t like it that way, I told him, he understood me,” commented the new goalkeeper of Deportes Tolima.

Domínguez at the time commented that he told Falcao that he was ashamed of the way he celebrated the goal, to which the Tigre responded by apologizing for his euphoria.

On his arrival at Deportes Tolima, Domínguez confirmed that for a long time Gabriel Camargo, top leader of the ‘pijao’ team, was on his trail, but it was not until the departure of Álvaro Montero when the negotiation was closed.

“Since I was in Argentina, the senator began to call me, but as Montero continued, it did not happen, now that he has left there has been a deeper rapprochement, we reached an agreement and now I am in Tolima,” he said,

“Playing the Libertadores and the project that Gabriel Camargo and coach Hernán Torres proposed to me motivated me. I’m going to try to help Cuesta and Jefferson, I come to contribute, even to the players from the quarry who train with us”, he added.
