Corona at STVV seems under control, good news for Club -STVV from Saturday | Jupiler Pro League

The many corona infections among our first division players are putting pressure on the resumption of the competition – next weekend – but the Pro League did not want to hear about any delay. The Pro League did decide to give teams that are struggling with 7 positive cases in players who played at least 30 percent of the matches, the opportunity to request a postponement.

At STVV it already seems to be going in the right direction. The club announced today that no more new cases have been reported after Saturday’s 13 cases, then mainly among the players. However, most of them were already back on the training field.

The match against Club may come too early for Shinji Kagawa. The top acquisition, ex-Dortmund, ex-Manchester United, was announced yesterday, today STVV reported that the 32-year-old midfielder is expected in Belgium on Friday for medical tests.

Kagawa was already introduced this morning by sponsor dmm.com in Japan. Whether he is ready to play depends on how fit he is and whether his papers are in order in time.
