During the 16th day of Betclic Elite which took place this Saturday, the leaders of the French basketball championship were mistreated. Boulogne-Levallois was beaten by Paris Basketball in the Ile-de-France derby (83-76). The teammates of Axel Toupane (16 points), new recruit from Paris Basketball, did not give up after a complicated start and inflicted on Vincent Collet’s proteges their third defeat in a row. Monaco, runner-up to Boulogne-Levallois in the standings, did not take advantage of this faux pas since Sasa Obradovic’s players lost 87-83 on the Nanterre floor. In the other matches of the day, Strasbourg notably corrected Limoges 97-66, while Châlons-Reims went to win at Bourg-en-Bresse in a crazy match (98-97 ap).
