Biathlon: Oberhof men’s sprint postponed to Friday

The biathlon World Cup competition program was changed on Monday. The men’s sprint will take place on Friday, not Thursday. All other competitions remain scheduled, the organization having planned to use the emergency stockpile of snow, previously set aside, to redo the track Wednesday morning, once the wave of mild weather is over, according to forecasters. .

The organizers announced the strengthening of their anti-Covid protocol during the competitions in January. The new rules include mandatory PCR tests for all participants before entering the sanitary bubble of events and tests also afterwards. These new provisions will apply to all competitions organized under the auspices of the International Federation, the organizers announced.
